Before meeting with Kravis and Fink, Prime Minister also had a similar one-on-one with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Boeing James McNerney. KKR and Co. is an American multinational private equity firm, specializing in leveraged buyouts, headquartered in New York. Modi also met the CEOs of 11 top US companies including Google's Eric Schmidt and PepsiCo's Indira Nooyi over breakfast, earlier in the day. The CEOs are meeting Modi to understand his vision for the Indian economy and his vision as far as bringing FDI to India is concerned. The Prime Minister is likely to hard sell India as the best investment destination in Asia, few days after he launched the ambitious "Make in India" campaign, where he promised red carpet treatment for investors.
