Mirzapur school students create Limca record on Children's Day

Mirzapur, Nov 15 (ANI): Students of Daffodils Public School in Mirzapur rejoiced as they created Limca record. A gift for themselves on the Children's day, 2764 students of the school adopted the look of clowns for a day so as to register their name in the Limca Book of records. The children dressed as clowns also paid tribute to the King of Comedy, Charlie Chaplin. Daffodils Public School's Director Amardeep Singh said that the school has for the second time registered itself in the Limca Book of Records. The students organized various cultural programs to entertain and make people happy. Modi govt launches Bal Swachhta Mission to mark 125th birth anniversary of Nehru

Mumbai/ New Delhi, Nov 14 (ANI): The Modi government on Friday launched a nationwide mission called Bal Swachhta Mission to mark the 125th birth anniversary of the country's first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. The mission was launched by Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi under which a cleanliness drive would be organized in schools across the country between 14th and 19th of this month. A series of functions including lecture, debate and symposium on the occasion will also be organized across the country. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also participated in a cleanliness drive in Mumbai on Friday. Varanasi, Nov 08 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his second day of visit to Varanasi by offering prayers at the ' Assi ghat' of river Ganga, assisted by five priests who supported him in performing the 'Ganga Pujan'. He also swept the ghat to mark the beginning of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' from his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi. Several laborers joined him as he cleaned the ghat. New Delhi, Nov 06 (ANI): Clarifying on the controversy over his cleanliness drive, Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay on Thursday said that he totally condemns forging of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' and that it should be taken seriously and carried on honestly. He also said that he or any BJP leaders had no knowledge of the same and he went there as a participant. Upadhyay said that it was a program of the Islamic Centre and he was there for a few minutes only. He further condemned the incident saying it was a human error and should not be done in future. New Delhi/ Kaushambi, Nov 06 (ANI): Reactions come from political leaders after Delhi High Court slammed Municipal Corporation of Delhi for unhygienic conditions in the national capital and made an observation that it was running a 'Ganda Bharat Abhiyan' or 'Dirty India Campaign'. While BJP said that government is committed to its 'Swachch Bharat Abhiyan’, Congress and AAP alleged that the ruling BJP is only doing a show off and the MCD under them has failed to perform on the ground. CPI leader D Raja also said that now that the HC has slammed the MCD, it needs to give a report on the same. Music video launched on Modi's Clean India vision

Mumbai, Oct 29 (ANI): Singer and Producer Ravindra Singh along with singer Mohit Chauhan launched a music video supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Clean India mission and his vision of development, in showbiz capital Mumbai. Modi had launched the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' or Clean India Mission, on birth anniversary of freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi to modernise sanitation within five years. The video titled 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' (One India, glorious India) has been released to create awareness among the masses on cleanliness.
