Hyderabad, Jan 05 (ANI): After raising controversy over his statements, Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Mondauy said that every citizen has the right to choose their religion in a democratic nation. Owaisi said that what he has said was hi personal belief and people have every right to disagree with the same. The MIM Chief also tried to make a point on ‘forceful conversion’ being done by the RSS and VHP. Earlier, Owaisi had said that Islam is the 'real home' of all religions and hence the real 'home coming' will be when people of other religions embrace it. Muslims took out processions to mark the occasion, celebrated as the day of the birth of Muhammad, Islam's Prophet. Homes, mosques, shrines and seminaries are decked with flags, buntings and banners to welcome the day, considered to be among the most blessed in the Islamic calendar. Buddhist monks assemble for peace prayers in Bodh Gaya

Bodh Gaya, Jan 04 (ANI): Monks and devotees from across the world assembled at the holy shrine of Buddhists in Bodh Gaya in Bihar to offer prayers for world peace and tranquility. More than thousand monks from countries like Bangladesh, India, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Nepal are participating in the religious gathering. The 32nd Kagyu Monlam prayer ceremony is the pre-eminent event of the year for Buddhists. It is considered to be a great gathering of the highest teachers. Kagyu Monlam in Bodh Gaya was preceded by several days of extensive Mahakala practice. The ceremony is being conducted at the premises of sacred Mahabodhi Temple. Complaint filed against Aamir Khan s PK in Jaipur

Jaipur/ Varanasi, Jan 2 (ANI): Trouble continued for Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's comedy-drama film 'PK' as a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against the movie in Jaipur on Friday for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. Various Hindu organizations have been protesting in different parts of the country for many days against the comedy-drama movie, alleging the movie made fun of Hindu gods and godmen, a charge denied by film director and actors.
