New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): Congress on Thursday strongly slammed senior party leader Janardan Dwivedi for terming Narendra Modi-led BJP's victory in Lok Sabha polls as a victory of Indianness. Addressing a press conference, Party leader Ajay Maken minced no words to express party's strong disapproval of Dwivedi's views. He said that the party's views on Indianness is totally opposed to what Dwivedi had expressed. Quoting Swami Vivekananda and Indira Gandhi, Maken said that Narendra Modi is in no way a symbol of Indianess as Congress understand it. Political leaders file nomination papers for Delhi Assembly Polls

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Political leaders from Congress and BJP on Wednesday filed their nomination papers for Delhi Assembly polls. Today is the last day for filing the nomination papers for the polls and the scrutiny of nominations papers would be done on January 22 while the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is January 24. Congress leader Ajay Maken filed his papers and said that he is ready for a debate with the AAP and BJP Candidates. Party's Kiran Walia also expressed confidence in the performance of Congress. New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Before filing his nomination papers from Sadar Bazar constituency, Congress leader Ajay Maken said that AAP and BJP will surely merge in future. He said that BJP’s CM Candidate Kiran Bedi and AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal started their journey from Anna Hazare’s protest and they will ultimately join hands together. He said that the two started with the name of corruption but now no one is talking about the same. He also invited the two leaders for a public debate and taking jibe at Bedi said that a person who can’t debate and answer to people's question, how does she plan to give governance in Delhi. BJP's CM candidate Kiran Bedi to file nomination today

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi is holding a roadshow ahead of filing her nomination papers for the Delhi assembly election. Earlier in the day, she paid tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai and also cleaned his statue in Krishna Nagar constituency. She also met tea and newspaper sellers in Krishna Nagar and enquired about the kind of issues they were facing. Bedi is scheduled to file her nomination from Krishna Nagar today. The scrutiny of nominations will take place tomorrow, while the last date for withdrawal of nominations is January 24. Polling will take place on February 7 and the counting of votes will be taken up on February 10. New Delhi, Jan 19 (ANI): Congress party on Monday released a booklet of 'U-Turn' targeting AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal on the promises which he made but failed to fulfill. Congress leader Ajay Maken said that a booklet has been compiled mentioning the u-turns taken by Kejriwal during his government. Maken said that Congress wanted the people of Delhi to decide if they wanted to give the responsibility of running the government to an irresponsible man who can only sit on protests.
