Sushma Swaraj meets Nepal leadership on her foreign visit

Kathmandu, July 26 (ANI): India’s Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday met the Nepal leadership on her 2 day visit to the country. Swaraj met her Nepalese counterpart Mahendra Bahadur Pandey and Prime Minister Sushil Koirala. Swaraj also attended the Indo-Nepal Joint Commission Meeting. She also met Chairman of UCPN-M Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) and Nepal Constituent Assembly Chairman Subhash Chandra. Congress hits out at Modi govt over secretary-level talks with Pakistan

New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): Congress slammed the ruling BJP government over foreign secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan scheduled for next month. The decision to re-start secretary-level talks was taken during Prime Minister Narendra Modi_s meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif when the latter attended Modi_s swearing-in ceremony in May. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said the foreign secretaries will meet on August 25 in Islamabad. However, Congress leader Manish Tewari questioned U-turn of Modi government as it has always advocated for tough stance on Pakistan.
