New Delhi, March 10 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minsiter Akhilesh Yadav on Monday faced criticism from the former leaders of his party for sacking ministers Anand Singh and Manoj Paras allegedly for anti-party activities. The development came days after Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav warned UP ministers to "mend" their ways or face the sack. Muzaffarnagar riots: Politicos condemn UP BJP'S plan to seek tickets for four riot-accused MLAs

New Delhi, March 10 (ANI): Cutting across political lines, leaders on Monday condemned the BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit plans to seek Lok Sabha tickets for the four BJP MLAs booked on the charge of fuelling Muzaffarnagar riots. The party plans to propose fielding Kairana MLA Hukum Singh from the Kairana Lok Sabha seat, Bijnore MLA Bhartendu Singh from Bijnore, Sardhana MLA Sangeet Som from Muzaffarnagar seat, and Thana Bhawan MLA Suresh Rana from Saharanpur. He said that the political parties and other forces had already started to take advantage of the situation for political gains. He also appealed the students not to create such ‘out of proportion’ state anywhere which can trouble their kin residing in other parts of the country. Kashmiri students charged with sedition case for cheering Pak cricket team

Meerut/ Srinagar, March 06 (ANI): Meerut Police on Thursday registered a case of sedition against the 67 Kashmiri students of Meerut's Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) who allegedly celebrated the victory of Pakistan over India in a cricket match on Saturday. The case of sedition was registered under section 124 (a) of the Indian Penal Code against unknown students of SVSU. Reacting to the same, NC leader Mustafa Kamal said that the students belong to the same country and not to other country and that they should apologize for hurting people's sentiments. Mar 6, 2014
