New Delhi, Sep 19 (ANI): Chinese President Xi Jinping along with his wife Peng Liyuan on Friday left for China from New Delhi airport. Jinping and his wife were escorted by HRD Minister Smriti Irani along with other dignitaries. Xi Jinping earlier on Friday met a delegation of Congress leaders including Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi. Both the leaders held talks in the presence of a delegation of Chinese and Indian leaders. The Chinese President will be leaving for China later in the day after completing his three day visit to India which was aimed at improving bilateral ties between the two countries. India and China sign 12 agreements including one on 5-years trade and economic co-operation pact

New Delhi, Sep 18 (ANI): India and China on Thursday signed 12 agreements, including one on five years economic and trade development plan. An agreement on audio visual co-production, two documents on railways, another document on work plan for drug administration and a MoU on culture were exchanged between the two countries. An MoU on peaceful use of outer space and a twinning agreement between Shanghai and Mumbai were also signed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Chinese President Xi Jinping has assured that he will take concrete steps to correct the trade imbalance and give more market access and investment in China. Edinburgh, Sep 18 (ANI): Both excitement and anxiety are mounting as voting in Scotland is underway in referendum to determine whether to break away from the United Kingdom and become independent. As polls open in Scotland, most opinion polls and experts say it is a vote too tight to predict. More than 4.2 million people are registered to vote in the country of 5.3 million people, including, for the first time, 16 and 17 year olds. Boxer Manoj Kumar to get Arjuna Award after winning court battle

New Delhi, Sep 17 (ANI): Boxer Manoj Kumar, who was earlier not considered for the Arjuna award by the Kapil Dev-led Committee, will receive the honor after he won the legal battle and the sports ministry accepted his nomination. Kumar was mistakenly considered to be involved in the doping case by the committee and had challenged the committee's decision in the High Court. Manoj Kumar's lawyer Rahul Mehra said that he is very happy with the Court's decision and that justice has been finally met. Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that due to court's observation and the agreement of the members of the selection committee the decision has been taken. Ahmedabad, Sep 17 (ANI): Chinese President Xi Jinping along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi at the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Modi received Jinping at the park after which both the leaders paid tribute to Gandhi. The leaders then took a casual tour of the Ashram in which Modi showed some unique paintings to Jinping.
