Tripura to start exporting bamboo tiles to European Market

Tripura, April 08 (ANI): A Mumbai- based company Mutha Industries Private Limited that had set up a factory in western Tripura to make bamboo floor tiles will soon start exporting to European countries. The factory, set up at the bamboo park in Bodhjunjnagar Industrial Growth Centre, is the first of its kind in the country. Production has already started in the plant and in the next 3 months international standard commercial production will start. Technologies and machinery from foreign countries are being used in the unit and the employees have been trained by overseas trainers. There is a huge demand for bamboo floor tiles in the outside market. The Tripura government started developing India's first bamboo park five years ago in order to give a boost to bamboo-based industries. This unit has come has a boon for a large number of people by providing them employment opportunities. The company also plans to expand bamboo plantation in the state so as to get the required raw material and also provide employment to the bamboo farmers. Apr 8, 2014

Oil extraction plant in Manipur provides employment to many

Manipur, April 6 (ANI): This is the first compact oil extraction and refinery plant in the northeastern region, set up by the SMART society under the Salai Agro Products Pvt. Ltd at Tera Loukrakpam Leikai in Imphal. The plant operates with international level advanced oil technologies and equipments. It has the capacity to process 5 tonnes of mustard oil per day and it plans to extract other oil seeds in the future. It aims to market its finished product outside the state and export it to other countries as well. At present, the plant is being managed by 4 skilled workers and employs several other workers on a daily wage basis. The SMART society, which was set up on 21st November 2008, is the brainchild of a few educated unemployed youths of the state. With encouragement from the society, farmers are now utilizing barren paddy fields to cultivate mustard and other commercial value oil seeds. Such small initiatives not only provide employment to many people but in the long run will also bring about agricultural and industrial growth in the state. Apr 6, 2014

New Delhi, Apr 2 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said on Wednesday that the country aims to expand nuclear energy generation capacity to more than 62000 mega watt by 2032 with additional safety features and proliferation resistant technologies. Singh was addressing the audience on nuclear weapon free world at Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA) in New Delhi. The Prime Minister also said that there is no theme more important or for that matter politically more challenging to determine country's international security. He further added that the very first resolution of the first session of the United Nations General Assembly dealt with the issue of nuclear technology and the need to harness it for peaceful applications. Container Corporation Of India Ltd and Engineers India were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 5.79% and 5.71% along with Gail India and Muthoot Finance Ltd. with an increase of 5.22% and 5.16% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include United Spirits and Financial Technologies with a decrease of 3.98% and 3.60% along with TV18 Broadcast and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. with a decrease of 3.31% and 2.51% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 104.44 points at 12,885.53 while the banking sector is up 387.54 points at 14,190.58 and the realty sector is up 4.60 points at 1,373.39.
