Defence lawyer says two Delhi gangrape accused are innocent

New Delhi, Sep 10 (ANI): Defence lawyer of the two accused in the Delhi gangrape case, A. P. Singh, on Tuesday said his clients were innocent, hours before a fast track court is set to pronounce its verdict in the case. Singh said Vinay was at a party in a park when the incident occurred, adding that Akshay Singh said he was hundreds of kilometres away in his village in eastern state of Bihar. Prosecutors allege that bus cleaner Akshay Kumar Singh, gym instructor Vinay Sharma, fruit-seller Pawan Gupta, and unemployed Mukesh Singh lured the woman and a male friend onto the bus on the night of December 16 as the two were returning home from watching a movie at a shopping mall in South Delhi.
