Telangana signs MoU on supply of 1,000 MW power with Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Nov 03 (ANI): Wishing to provide round-the-clock power supply in his state, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with his Chhattisgarh counterpart Raman Singh on Monday on supply of 1,000 MW of thermal power generated there on long-term basis. Rao was accompanied by state Finance Minister E Rajender, Principal Secretary S Narsing Rao and a few other officials. Telangana Chief Minister was welcomed by Chhattisgarh Transport Minister Rajesh Munat on his arrival in Raipur. The MoU between the two Chief Ministers will facilitate signing of a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) between Chhattisgarh Power Trading Corporation and TSGenco for a period of 7 or 12 years at a price to be fixed by the Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC). SC directs govt to reveal names of all black money holders by tomorrow

New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Central Government to disclose to it names of all black money holders by Wednesday. Lawyer Prashant Bhushan said that Centra had asked for modulations in law as they were unable to reveal some names due to double taxation avoidance agreement. He also said that Arvind Kejriwal had also filed an application asking government to reveal names of the three black money account holders who had themselves confessed it before Income Tax Department 2 years ago. Aam Aadmi Sena leaders protest outside residence of Arun Jaitley over black money

New Delhi, Oct 26 (ANI): Members of Aam Aadmi Sena protested outside the residence of Arun Jaitley on Sunday urging him to disclose the names of foreign bank account holders. Aam Aadmi Sena leader Shamsher Singh said that the money belongs the people and hence the government must reveal the name of the account holders. The BJP had set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to unearth "black money", after its first cabinet meeting. However, the government later claimed that not all information on the matter should be disclosed under double taxation avoidance agreement or DTAT. Youth Congress holds protest over black money

Bangalore, Oct 25 (ANI): Youth Congress workers staged a protest on Saturday against the central government for failing to bring black money back into the country, as promised during the Lok Sabha elections. The protesters also raised slogans like 'Why these double standards? Why make false promises?'
