Fadnavis calls Mumbai marathon a festival to celebrate spirit of freedom

Mumbai, Jan 18 (ANI): The 2015 edition of the Mumbai Marathon started on Sunday in which around 40,000 people took part. The marathon started at 5:40 am. This year's edition of the marathon will both start and finish at the Azad Maidan sports ground in South Mumbai. The marathon will bring together thousands of long-distance runners, senior citizens, physically challenged participants and amateur runners. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said that the Mumbai marathon which takes place every year is a festival where people celebrate the spirit of freedom.
