Bihar Crisis: With 130 MLAs, Nitish Kumar meets President Pranab Mukherjee

New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar along with 130 supporting MLAs met President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday. Nitish was accompanied by RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, SP Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and JD (U) Chief Sharad Yadav. The MLAs belonged to the ruling JD (U), besides some from the RJD, Congress, CPI and Independents. Nitish Kumar said that they have told President that they enjoy the majority in the Bihar Assembly. He added that he had appealed to the President to look into the matter immediately since due to delay the environment of Bihar is getting fouled. Nitish, who wanted an invitation from Bihar Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi to form a new government in the state after he was elected the leader of JD (U), had said that a democratic process should be followed in Bihar. Bihar's former Forest Minister and Nitish Kumar's supporter PK Shahi and JD (U) leader Pradeep Kumar said that no stay has been put up by the Patna High Court over Nitish Kumar's elections. Meanwhile, Kumar had earlier in the day reached the national capital to meet President Pranab Mukherjee, and parade 130 supporting MLAs to show that he enjoys a majority in the Bihar Assembly. Arvind Kejriwal to meet Rajnath Singh and President today

New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Delhi's Chief Minister designate Arvind Kejriwal will meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday. Kejriwal, whose Aam Aadmi Party made a clean sweep of the Delhi assembly polls, winning 67 of the 70 seats on offer, was unanimously elected as the leader of the legislative party on Tuesday. He later met Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung at the latter's official residence and conveyed the news. Jung will now send the report regarding the matter to President Pranab Mukherjee, allowing Kejriwal to stake claim towards government formation in the national capital.
