India expects more than 600 global armament majors at defence exhibition

New Delhi, Feb 10 (ANI): India is expecting participation of more than 600 global armament majors at the five-day defence exhibition, showing their state-of-art-technology, said an official. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Aero-India 2015, one of the largest premium air shows in Asia, in Bengaluru city on February 18 with aim to attract investment in the country. Modi's 'Make in India' initiative is the major theme for the exhibition. The initiative has been launched to boost industrial production by inviting foreign as well as domestic investment and cutting red tape. The biennial Aero-India, which began in 1996, has become a major platform for armament giants to initiate defence deals. Feb 10, 2015
