PM Modi attends 'Tilak' Ceremony of Mulayam Singh Yadav's Grand-Nephew

Saifai, Feb 21 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attended the pre-wedding ceremony or Tilak of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's grandnephew Tej Pratap Yadav in Saifai village. Tej Pratap is marrying Raj Lakshmi, the youngest daughter of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad. A staggering 100,000 invites have been sent out for the ceremony. Tej Pratap Singh Yadav is a Lok Sabha member from Mainpuri. Saifai village, some 25 km from Etawah, is buzzing with frantic activity for the ceremony. Delicacies like bedai, baati-chokha and halwa soaked in desi ghee would be served. According to reports, Amitabh Bachchan has also confirmed his presence. Bidding for PM Modi's suit reaches 14.1 million

Surat/ New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): The bidding for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's controversial suit that bears his name in gold pinstripes and which he wore at a meeting with Barack Obama touched a new high on Thursday. Komal Kant Sharma, CMD, Leela Group of Companies, a chain of luxury hotels, in Bhavnagar, bid rupees 14.1 million (1.41 crore) for the suit. The tailored suit is being auctioned in Gujarat to raise money for a project he is championing to clean the Ganges river. The auction ends on Friday. Director of Leela Group of Companies, Bhavnagar, Chirag Mehta, said Sharma would be present at the auction on Friday. Feb 19, 2015
