New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): The Delhi government headed by Arvind Kejriwal suspended 3 officials of the Delhi Jal Board and transferred around 800 others in a massive reshuffle aimed at improving efficiency and delivery. Chief water analyst Vinod Kumar, patwari Sunil Kumar and meter reader Atul Prakash were suspended following orders by Kejriwal. Education and PWD Minister Manish Sisodia said that the trio was seeking money to clear use of water for building construction and meter reading, as showed in a TV sting operation. Sisodia said that the cases will be filed against the three officials. The action came after the water distribution board's Chief Executive Officer Debashree Mukherjee was transferred on December 28. Maoists hack two to death in Jharkhand

Simdega, Dec 25 (ANI): A couple in Jharkhand's Simdega district was hacked to death by Maoists. Although the motive behind the incident remains unknown, police were seen inspecting and interrogating people at the crime scene. The deceased identified as Kanti Aind and her husband Sunil Aind were killed by the Maoists for no apparent reason. Mumbai, Dec 20 (ANI): After long wait and struggle for the family of Captain of Indian Merchant Navy, Captain Sunil James finally reached Mumbai to perform last rites of his 11-month son, Vivan who passed away while James was in Togo Jail. James, on his return, thanked Indian Prime Minister and Togo President among others for his release. The Indian merchant ship captain was under arrest in Togo since July for allegedly aiding pirates. Mumbai/ New Delhi, Dec 19 (ANI): Captain Sunil James along with another sailor Vijayan, who was arrested in Togo on July 31 for allegedly aiding pirates, has been released on Thursday, said the ministry of external affairs. The External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said that India is preparing for the sailor’s return. James’ wife Aditi and other relatives met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh earlier this month to urge him to intervene so that James could be allowed to come home for the last rites of his 11-month old son Vivaan, who died on December 2.
