IPL spot fixing case: SC turns down BCCIs request for transcripts of taped recording

New Delhi, April 11 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Friday turned down BCCI’s request for the transcripts of taped recording of MS Dhoni, N Srinivasan and Sundar Raman before the justice Mukul Mudgal panel that investigated the IPL betting and spot-fixing case. The court also said that the hearing on the matter will take place on April 16. SCs decision on IPL Spot Fixing case balanced one

New Delhi/ Pune, March 28 (ANI): Supreme Court on Friday gave a ‘balanced decision’ on IPL Spot-fixing case that Sunil Gavaskar should take up as BCCI interim president while N Srinivasan should step down. Justice Mukul Mudgal said that this is a balanced decision and that it will maintain the interest of the players and also the purity of the game. Former Cricketer Chandu Borde also welcomed the decision and said that Gavaskar would improve the image of cricket in the minds of people. IPL Spot-fixing case: Gavaskar to replace Srinivasan as BCCI interim President

New Delhi, March 28 (ANI): Supreme Court on Friday pronounced that Sunil Gavaskar will replace N Srinivasan to take up the post of interim president of the BCCI. The Supreme Court gave three interim orders to the BCCI, that is, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings will not take part in IPL 7 tournament, Gavaskar replacing Srinivasan, and all India Cements employess be removed from BCCI. New Delhi, March 27 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Thursday proposed the name of Sunil Gavaskar as interim BCCI President replacing N Srinivasan till it gives the final verdict in the IPL Spot-fixing case. The SC also said that Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will not be part of the upcoming IPL 7 and that any person involved with India Cements should alos be refrained from functioning in the BCCI. Cricket associations respect SC's decision on BCCI President

Mumbai / Visakhapatnam, Mar 26 (ANI): Cricket associations of different states have said that they respect the Supreme Court's direction on BCCI chief N. Srinivasan and hope that he will take an appropriate step. The top court asked him to step down to ensure a fair probe in a betting case during last year's Indian Premier League (IPL), in which his son-in-law has been indicted. Commenting on the issue, the president of Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association, D. V. Subba Rao, said Srinivasan will take court's decision in right spirit and act accordingly.
