Colombia signs amended peace deal with FARC rebels

Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos and Marxist Farc rebel leader Rodrigo Londono signed a new, revised peace accord on 24 November. The new agreement will end 52 years of war, and was put together in a month after the original was defeated in a referendum on 2 October. Footage shows officer fend off ambush by armed fugitive

Dashcam footage has captured an ambush by an armed fugitive hiding in the trunk of his mothers car in Lewiston, Idaho. Police officer Thomas Woods stopped a vehicle for not having license plates, little did he know there was someone hiding in the boot. According to the police statement the fugitive, Jesse Harrell, 20, sprung the trunk while holding a firearm. The officer then tried to control Harrell and the pair fell to the ground. Woods managed to strip Harrell of the firearm. Harrell and his mother Angelia Barnett-Harrell, 49, are both facing charges. Nov 24, 2016
