Finance Minister to finalise tax collection roadmap with excise officials

New Delhi, July 21 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday met the top brass of the Income Tax department and Central Board of Direct Taxes and discussed all issues related to tax collection. Jaitley inaugurated the two-day annual conference of principal chief commissioners, principal director generals, chief commissioners and director generals of income tax in New Delhi. This is the 30th Annual Conference of heads of the Income Tax Department. The major focus during the two-day conference would be on the accountability of assessing officers, non-filers monitoring system, data warehousing and business intelligence, role of directorate of I and CI in changing scenario, search, seizure and surveys -study of effectiveness among others. New Delhi, July 18 (ANI): Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday presented the budget for New Delhi in the Lok Sabha. Laying stress on the major points, Jaitley said that this year no new taxes shall be levied on the people of Delhi. He then said that new medical colleges, multi speciality hospital, girls' high schools and remote ambulances shall be introduced in many areas.
