Govt keen to set judicial commission: Ravi Shankar Prasad tells Parliament

New Delhi, July 22 (ANI): Law Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, on Tuesday told parliament that the government was keen to set up a panel to appoint judges in wake of allegations of judicial corruption by a former judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Markandey Katju. Katju alleged that the previous Manmohan Singh government extended the tenure of a corrupt additional judge of the Madras High Court due to stay in power as its key ally from the Tamil Nadu had threatened to withdraw support.
