New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): Cabinet ministers reacted as Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley concluded the General Budget for 2015-16 in the Lok Sabha on Saturday. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the budget will see long impending impacts. Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said that it is a welcome budget as it has much in store for the common man. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said that Jaitley has given an appropriate budget keeping in mind the well-being of all citizens. Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that first time in history the budget has given emphasis on infrastructure. HRD Minister Smriti Irani said that the budget has given importance to education and girl child, which is appreciable. New Delhi/Patna, Feb 26 (ANI): Reactions poured in on Thursday after Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu presented his maiden railway budget. Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas said that the overall budget is very good. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that expectation was that the fares would reduce but nothing such happened. Earlier in the day, while presenting his railway budget, Suresh Prabhu said the railway has to undergo a transformation over the next five years. Rail budget 2015-16 aims to better railway & not to appease other political parties: Suresh Prabhu 2

New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Thursday said that Rail Budget 2015-2016 aims to better the railway system in the country and not to appease other political parties. He said that a strong and efficient railway can lead to growth of the nation and not vice versa. He said this while addressing mediapersons after presenting the budget in Parliament. Prabhu said that the budget has kept in mind various expectations of the common man and can be a termed as a common man budget. He also said that the NDA government being a government of farmers has special provisions for them too in the rail budget. The railway minister further said that the money for different projects mentioned in the budget will come from extra budgetary sources and that the government is talking to World Bank, Asian Development Bank, etc. over the same.
