47 feared dead in Pakistan Airlines plane crash ATR-42

A Pakistan International Airlines plane has crashed on 7 December, possibly killing up to 47 people who were on board. PIAs ATR-42 is thought to have crashed shortly after taking off from the northern city of Chitral, heading towards Islamabad. Among those reportedly on board include Pakistani singer Junaid Jamshed and Chitral Deputy Commissioner Osama Warraich. The cause of the crash is currently unknown. Dec 7, 2016

Chapecoense tragedy: Pilot and crew filmed joking on board doomed flight

New images have emerged from the doomed flight carrying the Brazilian soccer side Chapecoense before it took off and crashed, killing 71 of the 77 people on board. Before the crash occurred the captain had reportedly radioed to say that he was running out of fuel in an emergency. Before takeoff the team and crew on the Bolivian charter plane were in good spirits. Investigators have travelled from Brazil, Bolivia and the UK to help Colombian authorities identify and recover the bodies. Dec 1, 2016
