Srinagar, July 17 (ANI): Kashmir on Thursday observed a shutdown to protest Israeli airstrikes on Gaza that have killed at least 160 Palestinians. A resident of Srinagar, Irfan Khan on Thursday, expressed concern over the serious and catastrophic situation in Gaza. Jammu and Kashmir, June 04 (ANI): An influential Muslim cleric in Jammu and Kashmir, Grand Mufti Bashiruddin Ahmad opposed central government_s plan to resettle displaced Hindus in strife-torn valley in a separate area. More than 250,000 Kashmiri Hindus, known as _Pandits_, fled their burning homes when a revolt against Indian rule in Kashmir broke out in 1989. A group of prominent religious leaders cautioned the government against any move to create separate settlements for the community, terming it as a political conspiracy. Bangalore, July 01 (ANI): The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) invited applications from startups as it commenced the third phase of its 10,000 start-ups initiative across the country. The 10,000 startups initiative, which is a national database of startups and identifies the areas of their operations, is a one-stop platform for all fresh entrepreneurs. Addressing a news conference in Bangalore Senior Director, NASSCOM 10,000 Startups initiative, Rajat Tandon said in first two phases at least 529 people were impacted. The association had earlier sent a 30-member representative delegation of software products and solutions to the Silicon Valley in the US for providing a global platform for young entrepreneurs. Syrian envoy to India confirms airstrikes in border areas with Iraq

New Delhi, June 28 (ANI): Syrian ambassador to India, Riyadh Abbas confirmed that Syria's warplanes conducted airstrikes in the border areas with Iraq which the ISIS controls. Abbas said it was their right to protect their sovereignty and defend its people from any impending threats from militants.
