David Oyelowo criticises lack of diversity in UK film industry

Speaking athe BFI London Film Festivals Black Star Symposium British actor David Oyelowo criticized the UK film industry for its lack of representation of minority talent. During his speech he urged companies in the UK to look at their staff and ensure that diversity was there stating “If you are not part of the solution, trust me, my friend, you are part of the problem”. Between 2014 and 2015 at least 400 people in India were attacked with acid, with news coverage of such incidents becoming almost a daily occurrence. The Make Love Not Scars organisation aims to help acid attack victims by providing skills and rehabilitation so that they can reintegrate back into society.
