Narmada, Nov 01 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel laid foundation stone of the Statue of Unity - the world's tallest statue of Iron man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The statue is a part of an ambitious project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated to his political idol. Patel, marking the 139th birth anniversary Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, laid the foundation of "Statue of Unity" near River Narmada in the state. Patel performed religious rituals before laying the foundation of the ambitious project. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the deputy of first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru as well as his home minister, but was often at odds with him. Nov 1, 2014

Hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow, the A-list affair included Michelle Rodriguez, Rose McGowan, Eddie Redmayne, Lea Michele, Sharon Stone, Milla Jovovich, Matthew Morrison, Molly Sims & January Jones. And while some celebs chose a more elegant look, others went for that little extra. Rihanna, in a hip-high slit & nude panels gown and Miley Cyrus in a black, bondage-inspired dress. ‘Interstellar’ had its L.A. premiere with the stars of the film looking as sparkling as the heavens above. Matthew McConaughey, who brought along wife Camila Alves McConaughey, looked every bit the movie star in a charcoal & maroon suit while the female co-stars were not to be outdone. Celebs’ attending the glamorous gathering included Paris Hilton, Jordana Brewster, Hannah Simone, Alison Brie & Dita Von Teese. LONDON ‘Interstellar’ held its London premiere with the stars of the sci-fi epic on hand.
