Zika: Biologists develops possible mosquito-repellent clothes detergent

Researchers at the Grupo Avance laboratory in Chile have developed a substance which may be capable of repelling the Aedes aegypti mosquito and interrupting its reproductive cycle, helping to reduce the transmission of the Zika virus and dengue fever. According to reports, biochemist Mario Reyes created a compound which he says could be added to detergent in a normal clothes wash at home, and this way would protect individuals from being bitten by the mosquito. London Fashion Week: Christopher Bailey walks us through A Patchwork

Burberry showcased its Autumn/Winter 2016 collection as part of London Fashion Week on 22 February and drew in an A-list crowd. Naomi Campbell, Suki Waterhouse, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and photographer Mario Testino were all on the front row at the show which was held in Kensington Gardens. Chief Executive of Burberry, Christopher Bailey, described his latest line called A Patchwork, which featured navy military inspired overcoats with red piping, sequined mini dresses and biker boots. San Francisco: Black Lives Matter protest shuts down the Bay Bridge

The westbound lanes of the Bay Bridge, in San Francisco, California, were shut down on 18 January, after Black Lives Matter protesters used different means to block the multi lane bridge.
