New Delhi, Dec 30 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 7.81 points up to stand at 27,403.54. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 1.95 points up to stand at 8,248.25. ADANI PORTS and BEML were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 7.92% and 7.53% along with NATCO PHARMA LTD. and ABB with an increase of 6.59% and 6.58% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include PMCFIN and RASOYA PROTEINS LTD. with a decrease of 4.97% and 4.93% along with UNITECH and JAIPRAKASH ASSOCIATES LTD. with a decrease of 4.79% and 4.03% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 61.93 points at 18,670.54 while the banking sector is up 143.37 points at 21,365.09 and the reality sector is down 3.11 points at 1,540.13. UNIONBANK and AJANTA PHARMA LTD. were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 5.65% and 5.26% along with BAYER CROPSCIENCE LTD. and SYNDICATE BANK with an increase of 5.03% and 4.93% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include RASOYA PROTEINS LTD. and GSFC with a decrease of 4.49% and 3.87% along with OBEROI REALTY LTD. and JUBILANT with a decrease of 3.60% and 3.13% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 7.42 points at 18,455.13 while the banking sector is up 26.66 points at 21,253.30 and the reality sector is up 14.09 points at 1,533.94. 'Good governance day'on agenda in BJP parliamentary meeting

New Delhi, Dec 23 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday conducted a parliamentary board meeting, even as the counting of votes for the five-phased assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand is underway. Minister of state for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that the agenda of the meeting was 'good governance day'and also Christmas. Rudy said that it is decided that wherever Christmas is being celebrated, there should be active participation by parliamentarians. Further, Rudy stated that having a strong presence in the Lok Sabha was paying dividends and applauded developments that took place in the lower house as against the upper house. Poonch, Dec 23 (ANI): Police arrested two persons with contraband substance heroin worth billion of rupees in Jammu and Kashmir. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) JS Johar said the drugs were recovered from a vehicle in Poonch district of the state.
