Infosys posts higher-than-expected profit, keeps annual sales growth outlook

Bangalore, Oct 10 (ANI): Infosys Ltd wants to revive growth through automation and artificial intelligence, its chief executive said on Friday (October 10), boosting investors' confidence in Bangalore after it posted a forecast-beating quarterly profit. Chief Executive Vishal Sikka was brought in earlier this year to chart a new strategy for Infosys. Sikka said Infosys' future now lay in new technologies, and that it would look into acquisitions to expand into those areas. Sikka also added that the firm expects revenue in the fiscal year ending in March 2015 to rise 7-9 percent, maintaining the guidance it had given in July and meeting expectations of most analysts. Politicos react as SandP upgrades India s credit outlook from negative to stable

New Delhi, Sep 27 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday react as Standard and Poor's lifted India's rating outlook to 'stable' from 'negative', acknowledging efforts by the Narendra Modi government to maintain fiscal discipline. BJP leaders Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Sambit Patra said that this is the result of efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government. Patra said that this is a break through in the sense of buoyancy of all the investors. NCP leader Tariq Anwar also welcomed the development and said that this is after long that a majority government has come up and this is a reason of the same.
