Delhi court to decide on bail petitions of telecom scam accused on May 30

New Delhi, May 28 (ANI): A Delhi court said on Wednesday that it would decide on the bail petitions of the accused allegedly involved in money laundering in 2G-scam case on May 30. The court granted two days extension to all the accused to scrutinize the documents related to chargesheet filed by Enforcement Directorate (ED). Former Telecom Minister A Raja, lawmaker of DMK Kanimozhi and seven other accused moved bail applications before a Delhi court on Monday. Lawyer of Vinod Goenka, one of the accused in the telecom scam, Majid Memon, said the accused sought more time to go through the documents related to chargesheet. May 28, 2014

Kejriwal agrees to furnish personal bond, his petition to be heard on 31st Jul

New Delhi, May 27 (ANI): Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday has agreed to furnish the personal bond as suggested by the Court in the hearing regarding Nitin Gadkari’s defamation case. Kejriwal’s lawyer Prashant Bhushan stated that the High Court has agreed to hear his petition on 31st July and in the mean time proposed him to furnish the bond and get released from jail. He also said that Kejriwal agreed to furnish the bond pending the final outcome of the case. Meanwhile, Gadkari’s lawyer Pinky Anand said that Kejriwal did not intend to stay in jail and had to furnish the bond as he had no choice. She added that the Court will hear his petition on July 31. New Delhi, May 23 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convener Arvind Kejriwal has been sent to 14-day judicial custody in the defamation case filed by senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari. Kejriwal was sent to Tihar Jail after he refused to pay a personal bond as directed by the court. The next hearing is on June 6. He has already spent two nights in judicial custody after he refused to pay the personal bond saying it was against AAP's principles. New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday sent to two days judicial custody till May 23 after he refused to furnish a bail bond in connection with a defamation complaint filed against him by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari. A lawyer in the case confirmed the same and said that Kejriwal refused to file a bail bond which was asked from him by the court. Kejriwal will be taken to Tihar jail, not giving him any exception treatment. May 21, 2014
