Hyderabad, Feb 08 (ANI): The cabinet passed the Telangana Bill which will bifurcate Andhra Pradesh for the creation of a separate Telangana state, during a special meeting of the cabinet. The Bill will be introduced in Parliament on February 11 or 12. The key demands of Seemandhra leaders that Hyderabad be made a Union Territory and Rayala Telangana be created were rejected, putting a question mark on the fate of the Bill in Parliament. Delhi govt order SIT probe in 1984 riots, politicos welcome move

New Delhi/ Ludhiana, Feb 07 (ANI): The Delhi cabinet approved the set up of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the 1984 anti-Sikh riots within a time frame of one year, following the suggestion by national capital government to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung. Police officers from outside Delhi would be responsible for conducting an inquiry in the case. AAP leader Sanjay Singh said this step would ensure a speedy and unbiased investigation in the case and would help in punishing the people involved in abetting the deadly riots. New Delhi, Feb 06 (ANI): After a cabinet meet, AAP leader Manish Sisodia on Thursday said that the Delhi government has asked the Lieutenant Governor to form a SIT to probe into 1984 riots case and also requested that the police in the case will be brought from outside. Sisodia said that all the closed cases and FIRs in the case will be reopened for probe. New Delhi, Jan 30 (ANI): Union Oil Minister Veerappa Moily on Thursday announced a raise in the quota of subsidized LPG cylinders from 9 to 12 per household in a year. He said that from February 1, every month one subsidized cylinder will be available to each household. The move comes days after Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, had demanded raising the ceiling. Consumers who have exhausted their quota have to buy LPG at the market price of Rs. 1,258 per cylinder. Subsidized LPG costs Rs. 414 per 14.2kg cylinder in Delhi. Jan 30, 2014
