Dharamsala, Oct 06 (ANI): The second edition of Miss Himalaya Pageant 2014 concluded in Dharamsala with Jyoti Dogra crowned as the winner of the contest. The event was organised by exiled Tibetan Lobsang Wangyal Productions in McLeod Ganj town. There were five contestants from the Himalayan region who participated in the annual event. After getting the crown of Miss Himalaya, the winner Jyoti Dogra said that she wants to become a role model for all Himalayan girls. The competition began on Saturday at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA), which included talk and talent rounds. At least five killed and around 30 injured in ceasefire violation by Pak rangers along Indo-Pak bord

Arnia/ Jammu, Oct 06 (ANI): At least five people were killed and around 30 injured in firing from Pakistan at the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir after midnight on Sunday, in the worst attack on civilian areas in recent years. This ceasefire violation by the Pakistanis is the fourth day in a row. Two women and a 13-year-old girl were among those killed when Pakistan Rangers started firing at posts of the Border Security Force and villages in the Arnia sector of Jammu at around 1:30 am. Heavy mortar shelling was also reported even as intermittent firing continues at Arnia and RS Pura sectors. Villagers near the border are terrified and panic gripped the border villages. Civilians injured, houses damaged as Pak rangers resort to unprovoked firing in J and K

Poonch, Oct 03 (ANI): Some civilians sustained injuries while some lost their houses as Pakistani Rangers violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked firing on the Indian positions along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. The entire Gagrian village in the Poonch sector was affected in the firing. According to the villagers of Gagrian, the firing continued till midnight and almost all civilians stayed awake all night. The injured were taken to the hospital immediately. Ahmed said the entire locality got strong tremors as bombs started falling on the village. He added the government should initiate steps to find out permanent solution for people living on the India-Pakistan border. Oct 3, 2014
