Cabinet gives nod to clean India mission

New Delhi, Sep 25 (ANI): Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave nod to clean India mission, 'Swacch Bharat'. Law and Justice Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, told reporters that number of plans were piloted during the Cabinet meet. The Programme consists of components for providing individual household, community and public toilets and municipal solid waste management in all 4041 statutory towns. The Cabinet also approved setting up of Clean Ganga Fund with voluntary contributions citizens, NRIs and Person of Indian Origin toward the conservation of the river Ganga. This initiative would supplement Namami Ganga Programme. The Cabinet also approved restructuring of the "Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan" (NBA) into "Swachh Bharat" Mission (rural) by a perfect synergy for clean Ganga (Ganges). Sep 25, 2014

New Delhi, Sep 23 (ANI): Communications and Information Technology (IT) Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad visions India to prospect vastly in e-commerce. Prasad believes that the country is sitting on the cusp of a big digital revolution as National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) will herald a digital connectivity even in the villages. The other big focus area is the Digital India project, aimed at providing citizen services online. The project includes the NOFN, which will connect 60,000 gram Panchayats this year. Prasad on Tuesday told business lobbyists of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) in New Delhi that digital empowerment of citizens is a core motive. India stands united over Kashmir, protest continue against Bilawal Bhuttos Kashmir remark

Bangalore/ Bhopal, Sep 22 (ANI): The statement of Pakistan People's Party Leader Bilawal Bhutto regarding Kashmir was strongly condemned across the country and sparked strong protests on Monday in various states of India. Members of the Indian Youth Congress in Bangalore city of Karnataka shouted anti-Bhutto slogans and burnt the banner bearing his picture. A member of Youth Congress, Pramod Shankar said that Kashmir would always remain an integral part of India. Besides, protests were also held in Bhopal city of Madhya Pradesh by members of Students’ Union. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members also protested against Bhutto. The protesters burnt his effigy and shouted ‘anti-Pakistan’ and ‘anti-Bhutto’ slogans. Bilawal addressed party workers in Multan region of western Punjab in Pakistan on Friday when he made his controversial comment that he would take back Kashmir and would not leave a single inch of which belonged to Pakistan.
