Young achievers from northeast gather in Guwahati to discuss the potential of the region

Guwahati, Dec 09 (ANI): The third edition of the Young leaders Connect Conference at the Guwahati Medical College auditorium was attended by young leaders and achievers from diverse fields of the northeast region. Centered on the theme of “Branding North east: Speaking for ourselves”, the conference focused on highlighting positive achievements of the region. Held under the aegis of Youth Net, a Nagaland based non-profit organization, the event was graced by personalities like filmmaker Prakash Jha, boxing Icon Mary Kom, Mountaineer Anshu Jamsenpa and football player Baichung Bhutia. The event aimed to develop a positive outlook about the northeast and laid stress on the untapped potential that the region holds in terms of cultural heritage, natural resources and human capital. New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): Mohammad Hashim Ansari accused Congress of creating fear of BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi among Muslims and that Modi needs the community's support to win the elections. A day after the allegation, BJP Spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said that Congress is scared of Modi's popularity and is doing vote bank politics and nothing else. He said that Congress considers Muslims just as vote bank and not as 'suffering lot'. Javadekar also said that now people have understood the ruling party's politics and would not support the same. Politicos demand AK Ganguly's resignation over sexual harassment charges

New Delhi/ Kolkata, Dec 06 (ANI): Politicians on Friday demanded resignation of former Supreme Court Justice, AK Ganguly over allegations of sexually assaulting a law intern. The three-judge committee of the Supreme Court which probed the complaint filed by the law graduate against Ganguly said that there was prima facie evidence.
