Paris Bataclan theatre to open this month one year after Isis-inspired shootings killed 90

Rock star Sting has revealed he will be playing at the Bataclan concert venue in Paris, a year after Islamist militants killed 90 people in November 2015. The venue has been trying its best to move forward from tragedy with Jerome Langlet, the Bataclain president, who said: Its the same Bataclan but weve changed everything. The venue has reportedly had trouble getting big names to perform, fearful of the emotional weight of the occasion. On the day of the anniversary itself, survivors of the attack and the US rock group Eagles of Death Metal – who were on stage when the massacre began – will attend the unveiling of a plaque in front of the concert hall, according to French rolling news channel BFMTV.
