PM Modi arrives at an excited Varanasi, to adopt a village under 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana'

Varanasi, Nov 07 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reached his constituency in Uttar Pradesh, Varanasi for the first time after assuming the office in New Delhi. Preparations for his arrival were started days before as people seem exciting over the awaited visit. UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will be in the city to welcome the Prime Minister. Modi is expected to adopt a village under the 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana'. Jayapur village, 24 kilometres away from Varanasi, hopes to be picked and is prepping to receive the prime minister, who is scheduled to make a public address there. The villagers also held prayers ahead of Modi's visit and thanked him for choosing their village. Water tight security arrangements have been made. PM Modi will be in his constituency for a little over 24 hours. PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of a Weavers Trade Facilitation Centre and a crafts museum aimed at uplifting the lot of weavers and craftsmen. Nov 7, 2014

The programme, which is Modi's second address on radio, named Mann Ki Baat was aired from 11 am. Modi touched upon a range of issues including the cleanliness drive and the black money. PM Modi in his address said, "as far as black money is concerned, trust me that we will work to bring every single rupee back." "I will leave no stone unturned to bring back black money," he added. Talking about the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' he said that more and more people are becoming conscious about the importance of cleanliness. He also informed that his government is trying to make Kendriya Vidyalayas and some government institutions disable friendly. A fund is being allocated for that. Patel, marking the 139th birth anniversary Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, laid the foundation of "Statue of Unity" near River Narmada in the state. Patel performed religious rituals before laying the foundation of the ambitious project.
