Health Minister JP Nadda seeks Sweden's cooperation in 'Make in India' campaign

New Delhi, Nov 24 (ANI): The India-Sweden MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) Celebration Conference was inaugurated in New Delhi by Swedish Healthcare, Public Health and Sports Minister Gabriel Wikstrom on Monday. This conference was organised to commemorate the five years of successful cooperation in the field of healthcare and public health. Speaking at the conference, India's Health Minister JP Nadda said that he hoped that Sweden will provide an impetus for the 'Make in India' campaign. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 'Make in India' campaign seeking to make India a global manufacturing hub. Nadda further said that the arrival of the Swedish delegation to India reflected a commensurate desire for enhanced relations. He further added that India looks forward to an effective partnership with Sweden. Overall, the conference took stock of the development in recent years and planned at a roadmap for the future. Crowd throngs wine festival in Nagpur

Nagpur, Nov 23 (ANI): The Nagpur Wine and Food Festival- 2014 being held in Nagpur not only promised a treat to a variety of wines presented by famous brands but also aimed at creating awareness to remove the misconceptions that people hold regarding the drink. The two- day festival has been organized by Nagpur Wine Lovers Club with the help of Indian Grapes Processing Board, All India Wine Manufacturing Association, Nasik Valley Wine Club and Indo-Israel Agricultural Organization. Eight famous wine brands of the country participated in the festival, out of which the wine from Nasik was the most popular and highly demanded. Vice President of Nagpur Wine Lovers Club, Sunil Manikikar, said that the aim of the festival is to promote wines. Sitharaman meets delegates from Tatarstan, Japan to discuss free trade agreements

New Delhi, Nov 19 (ANI): A Russian delegation led by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Union Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi. The delegation which is in India will form a Joint Working Group (JWG) of the two countries to work on ways to strengthen trade in fertilisers, chemicals and pharmaceuticals between India and Tatarstan. Meanwhile, two delegations from Japan, including one headed by the Chief Executive Officer Of Mitsui and Co. Ltd. and Chairman of Japan-India Business Co-operation Committee, Masami Iijima and Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) headed by Hiroyuki Ishige also met Sitharaman. The delegation is visiting India for the purpose of the free trade agreement being negotiated by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) which would help India boost its commerce and manufacturing.
