SC reserves order on cancellation of coal blocks

New Delhi, Sep 09 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday reserved order on cancellation of coal blocks. However, it has not announced a date for when it will declare its judgement in the case. The Petitioner said that it is a good judgement that SC has reserved the order in coal allocation case. However the lawyer for Coal Companies said that they demand that SC should hear them and not cancel allocations of those who are found to be innocent. Companies who were allocated coal blocks also pleaded with the SC not to cancel allocations without hearing them. Sep 9, 2014

India will not block sick Italian marine's treatment: Sushma

New Delhi, Sept 09 (ANI): India will not stop Italian marine facing murder charges from returning home for medical treatment, said Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, a case that has soured relations between New Delhi and Rome. Supreme Court will decide whether to accept the appeal filed by one of the two Italian marines, to go home on medical grounds for recovery after he was admitted to a hospital for a health condition similar to a mild stroke. The marines, Massimiliano Latorre and Salvatore Girone, part of a military security team protecting a tanker from piracy are accused of shooting two Indian fishermen off the coast of Kerala in February 2012. Supreme Court lawyer, KTS Tulsi, said that one of the Italian marines has filed an appeal to go back to Italy on medical grounds after he was admitted to a hospital complaining of some health problems.
