AIIMS Forensic Dept ready to provide information on Sunanda Pushkar case

New Delhi/ Thiruvananthapuram, July 4 (ANI): Head of Forensic Department of All India Institute Of Medical sciences (AIIMS), Dr Sudhir Gupta, said that he was prepared to impart any information required in mysterious death case of Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor. Speaking to mediapersons in New Delhi on Friday, Dr Gupta said that the postmortem report of Pushkar was authentic. BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy had also alleged the involvement of few politicians in the case and demanded a trial by the Supreme Court. Earlier, Gupta had claimed he was pressurised to tamper with the post-mortem report of Pushkar, who died under mysterious circumstances in a posh New Delhi hotel on January 17 this year. PIL filed in SC over Sunanda Pushkar case demanding CBI probe

New Delhi, July 04 (ANI): A PIL was filed in Supreme Court over Sunanda Pushkar death case demanding CBI probe. The petitioner lawyer in the case said that there are instances in the case which needs free investigation, that is, Dr Sudhir Gupta complaining of pressure in creating autopsy report and delay in case by Delhi police. New Delhi, July 03 (ANI): Dr Sudhir Gupta, who had alleged that Sunanda Pushkar's autopsy report was doctored, said on Thursday that Sunanda Pushkar's postmortem report was based on principles and norms of medical ethics. Dr Sudhir Gupta had earlier alleged that he was pressurized to give a doctored report in Pushka's death case. Gupta headed the team of experts who conducted the postmortem on Pushkar's body and had alleged that he was pressured by top officials to show that Pushkar's death was 'natural'. Sunanda Pushkar death case: Delhi Police Commissioner assures full investigation

New Delhi, July 02 (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi on Wednesday assured full investigation of the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of Congress leader, Shashi Tharoor's wife, Sunanda Pushkar. The statement was made in wake of the Head of the forensic department of India's specialty hospital, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Dr. Gupta revealing that he was compelled to submit a fabricated report in the Sunanda death case. Dr Neerja Bhatla said that the AIIMS administration categorically denies any such allegations that Dr Sudhir Gupta was under pressure. Subramanian Swamy calls for proper investigation in Sunanda Pushkar's death

New Delhi, July 02 (ANI): Commenting on the allegations made in the Sunanda Pushkar's autopsy report case, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday reiterated that Pushkar was murdered and called for proper investigation in the case. Swamy said that Pushkar had told people that she will expose the corruption in IPL. He further said that it was strange that her husband and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor was admitted in the AIIMS Hospital when the autopsy was about to be conducted on Pushkar's body. According to media reports, the head of the forensics department at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Dr. Sudhir Gupta, has said that he was pressurized to give a doctored report in Pushkar's death case. Sunanda Pushkar's autopsy: Harsh Vardhan seeks report from AIIMS director

New Delhi, July 02 (ANI): Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has sought a report from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) director over an AIIMS doctor's allegations that the autopsy in Sunanda Pushkar's death was submitted under pressure. Harsh Vardhan also told that the former forensics head Dr Sudhir Gupta, who has claimed that Pushkar's autopsy was made under pressure, had also given a presentation regarding his promotion, soon after he assumed charge as the Union Health Minister. Sunanda Pushkar, was found dead in her hotel room in Leela Palace in New Delhi's Chanakyapuri on January 17. Prior to her death, Pushkar had been involved in a Twitter scandal allegedly involving her husband Shashi Tharoor and a Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar. Jul 2, 2014
