New Delhi, Jan 03 (ANI):BSP chief Mayawati on Tuesday lashed out at prime minister Narendra Modi for ignoring Dalit icons while awarding Bharat Ratna to Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Madan Mohan Malviya. Mayawati said that Vajpayee should get the Bharat Ratna but also demanded that the award be conferred on Dalit icons like Kanshiram as well. Opposition targets BJP govt over increased ceasefire violations by Pakistan

New Delhi, Jan 2 (ANI): Opposition parties on Friday targeted the BJP government over the increasing number of ceasefire violations by Pakistan at the border. The Home Minister had yesterday reportedly said that whosoever dares to cast an evil eye on India, security forces will give a fitting response. Earlier the Union Defence Minister had also condemned the unprovoked firing by the Pakistan Rangers. The latest ceasefire violation came a day after Islamabad reportedly summoned India's Deputy High Commissioner to the country to register its protest over the alleged killing of four Pakistani Rangers by the BSF in the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir's Samba Sector. Pakistan targets 15 Indian outposts in Samba sector, one civilian injured

Samba, Jan 1 (ANI): Pakistani troops have violated the ceasefire again by resorting to overnight firing on 15 border outposts in the Samba Sector of Jammu and Kashmir, leaving one civilian injured on Thursday. The firing is believed to have started around midnight. The latest ceasefire violation comes after Islamabad reportedly summoned India's Deputy High Commissioner to that country last evening to register its protest over the alleged killing of four Pakistani Rangers by the Border Security Force (BSF) in the border areas of the Samba Sector in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier on Wednesday there were reports of fresh ceasefire violations from Pakistani troops in the same area which killed one BSF jawan- Constable Sri Ram and another jawan suffered minor injury, besides killing the four Pakistani Rangers in the exchange of firing.
