SEBI to formulate rules for disclosures to curb errant trading: UK Sinha

New Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): The country's capital markets regulator, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is all set to formulate a new set of rules vis-a-vis disclosures by listed companies to curb errant trading of scripts such as insider trading and over or under rated deals. SEBI Chairman UK Sinha stated this in New Delhi on Thursday. He was speaking to the mediapersons on the sidelines of an event hosted by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. India, at present does not have any formal rules meant for dealing with the annulment of trades. Instead, stock exchanges across the country have devised their own guidelines. IMF cuts India's growth forecast to 3.8%, BJP hits government

New Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): As India suffered the steepest cut in the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) revised growth forecasts for the year, BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Thursday stated that the issue is very serious. He also called Finance Minister P Chidambaram an expert in bringing down growth rates. IMF, in its flagship World Economic Outlook report said that India will grow only 3.8% in the 2013-14 financial year against 5.6% projected in its July forecast, a cut of 1.8 percentage points. Telugu actor Srihari passes away

Mumbai, Oct 10 (ANI): Noted Telugu film actor Srihari, who was recently seen in "Thoofan", Telugu version of "Zanjeer", passed away at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday evening. The actor was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday following illness and died around 5 PM. However, the cause of his death is not known yet. Srihari, who had been suffering from a liver ailment for some time, complained of giddiness during the shooting of 'Rambo Rajkumar' being directed by Prabhu Deva with Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. SC proposes 3-member panel for IPL spot-fixing scandal

New Delhi, Oct 7 (ANI): In a setback to N Srinivasan’s hopes of taking charge as BCCI president for a third term, the Supreme Court of India proposed a three-member panel to investigate the IPL spot-fixing scandal on Monday and extended the hearing of the case to Tuesday. The apex court today proposed that the new probe panel will be headed by former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Mukul Mudgal, and will also consist of senior Supreme Court lawyers, L Nageshwar Rao and Nilesh Dutta.
