New Delhi, Nov 17 (ANI): The Justice Mukul Mudgal panel, appointed by the Supreme Court to investigate the IPL fixing scandal, has cleared BCCI president-in-exile N Srinivasan on charges of match fixing. Earlier this year, India_s top court temporarily relieved N. Srinivasan of his duties as the country_s cricket board president in the wake of his son-in-law, Gurunath Meiyappan, being indicted for illegal betting on the 2013 IPL tournament. Srinivasan stood down in June. Justice Mudgal, who probed fixing allegations in the IPL 2013, also states that the former BCCI boss was not involved in scuttling the probe, as it has been alleged in some sectors. IPL scam: Mukul Mudgal committee submits final report to SC with less expectation

New Delhi, Nov 03 (ANI): The Mukul Mudgal committee probing the betting and spot fixing scandals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) submitted its final report on Monday. The committee submitted its report on role of N Srinivasan and others in the scam, in a sealed cover. The hearing on the case is scheduled for next Monday. Justice (Retd) Mukul Mudgal said that the report has been submitted but refrained from giving any details whatsoever. The report, however, had less expectation as lawyer Rahul Mehra said that going by the past record, nothing much can be expected from the same. Cyclone alert for Odisha, Andhra Pradesh

Puri / Visakhapatnam, Oct 9 (ANI): The cyclonic storm Hudhud is getting closer to the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh coast leading to a cyclone warning for Andaman and Nicobar Islands and cyclone alert for north coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts. The government officials say adequate measures have been taken to tackle the situation and its aftermath. Cyclone Hudhud is moving in from the Bay of Bengal and is forecast to bring gales of up to 140 kmph (87 mph), heavy rains and storm surges when it hits the coast of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha on October 12 afternoon. However, the fishing community is scared as the government has not informed them of the approaching cyclone. According to an official of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Visakhapatnam, D Srinivasan, an alert has already been sounded in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh. Oct 9, 2014
