Patna /Kaushambi / New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): Special prayers were being held across India on Thursday for the victory of BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, a day prior to the results of the mammoth general election of the world's largest democracy. Major exit polls forecast BJP and its allies to sweep to a parliamentary majority in the world's biggest ever election. In Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, BJP supporters conducting special prayers said they will continue till Modi takes over as the Prime Minister if BJP is elected to power. Supporters sat around the religious fire along with an idol of Modi, giving offerings to the fire and chanting hymns. CPI (M) calls for re-polling in Kolkata

Kolkata, May 14 (ANI): Communist party of India (Marxist) accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of West Bengal of rigging the polls and calls for re-polling at various polling stations in Kolkata city. TMC leaders said on Monday that the media is hyping up a few minor clashes that took place during the last phase of polling between party supporters and the CPI (M) workers. Crude bombs were also hurled at the residence of BJP leader Meena Devi Purohit, in Kolkata city on Monday. However, the bombs did not explode. Hundreds of supporters and leaders of CPI (M) marched on the roads of Kolkata demanding re polling.
