British PM David Cameron unveils encyclopaedia on Hinduism in London

London, Oct 29 (ANI): British Prime Minister David Cameron unveiled an encyclopaedia on Hinduism in London. The encyclopaedia has been published by the India Heritage Research Foundation founded and chaired by Swami Chidanand Saraswati, who was present at the gala event. Sharing his knowledge on the philosophy of Hinduism, Saraswati said the encyclopaedia gives an insight into theories of the religion. The Hindu Diaspora in Britain has emerged to be flourishing. The NGO, in its 10th year, has been contributing immensely in the fields of education, social development and animal care. Rajnath Singh flags off 'run for oneness' in New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 26 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday (October 26) flagged off a marathon in New Delhi, organised with an aim to spread message of oneness and harmony. Conducted by a charitable foundation, the marathon of around 8.4 kilometers was flagged off from National Stadium and more than 15,000 people aged 16 and above participated in the run, wearing white shirts and blue caps, symbolizing the message of peace. The theme for this year's run was 'smiles for miles and miles'. Singh flagged off the event along with Arjuna award winner Sunita Godara, 1992 Asian Marathon champion, who also holds a record for running maximum marathons by an Indian. PM Modi inaugurates Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital

Mumbai, Oct 25 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. The hospital, in its 90th year, has been completely rebuilt by Reliance Foundation, into a modern 19-storey tower with two heritage wings. The foundation is headed by Nita Ambani. For the first time, the hospital has collaboration with America's most renowned institutes like Johns Hopkins, MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Massachusetts General Hospital and University of Southern California. The hospital will reserve a fifth of its capacity for the underprivileged and provide 10 percent beds for free to the needy and another 10 percent at subsidised rates. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, ShahRukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Sachin Tendulkar among many others were also present during the inauguration.
