Delhi court slaps Rs 3 lakh fine on Sheila Dikshit for non appearance in defamation case

New Delhi, Aug 30 (ANI): A Delhi court in Saket slapped Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit with a fine of Rs three lakh for failing to appear before it in a defamation case filed by her against BJP leader Vijender Gupta. It the second time she has been fined in the case. The court had earlier also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on Dikshit for her non-appearance. The court has now directed Dikshit to appear before it on December 20. Petitioner in the case, Vijender Gupta said that he has been facing harassment because of her absence and that the fine is imposed on complaint. Dikshit had sought a day's exemption from appearance in the court on the ground that she was pre-occupied with some political work. Aug 30, 2014

Mumbai, August 27 (ANI): Bollywood director, Rohit Shetty launched the trailer and poster of upcoming romantic drama, Jigariyaa in the entertainment capital of Mumbai. The cast and the crew were present during the launch of Raj Purohit's debut movie. Bollywood director Rohit Shetty who was the guest of honour said that the movie and the cast should be supported. Jigariyaa is inspired from true events that tell the love story of Shyamlal Gupta and Radhika Sharma. Raj Purohit, Director of the movie said that the movie was based on a real love story. The romantic drama was written by Vinod Bachchan and launched by Wave Cinemas. It features newcomers, Harshvardhan Deo and Cherry Mardia in lead roles and the film is scheduled to on October 10. Mumbai, August 20 (ANI): The audiences were in for a visual treat as Bollywood divas Shilpa Shetty and Sushmita Sen walked the ramp in their sensuous outfits on the opening day of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) in India's showbiz capital Mumbai. Former Miss Universe, Sen, looked stunning in a black gown with a transparent back as the showstopper for designer, Aman Aggarwal. Sen credited her exotic appearance to Aggarwal and said she felt sexy and eloquent in the dress. Aggarwal's collection portrayed tribal artifacts and incorporated ethnic weaving techniques, stripped tattoos and structured jewelry. On the other hand, Shilpa Shetty, looked elegant in a black slinky gown with huge prints and a draped dupatta. She grooved on the ramp with other models for fashion designer Masaba Gupta's collection themed 'wanderess'. The theme 'wanderess' is inspired by renowned poet Roman Payne's character Saskia.
