Nalanda, Feb 22 (ANI): Seven people were killed and eight others were injured when a passenger train rammed into a Tata magic van in Nalanda district of Bihar. The incident took place when the Tata magic van was hit by the train at an unmanned rail crossing near Tungi Halt of Deepnagar area. Srinagar, Feb 10 (ANI): Separatists called for shutdown in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday to protest killing of youth during demonstration in the valley. Hurriyat Conference appealed people to observe a complete shutdown. A youth named Farooq Ahmad Bhat was killed when forces allegedly opened fire on a group of stone-pelting protesters in Palhallan area of north Kashmir on Monday. The youths were demanding the mortal remains of Afzal Guru - a Kashmiri --who was hanged in New Delhi jail for attacking parliament on December 13, 2001. Guru, who was held guilty in the case, was given death sentence by a Delhi court on December 18, 2002, after being convicted of conspiracy to attack parliament and waging war against the country and murder.
