Moradabad, July 06 (ANI): Villagers in Moradabad district on Sunday fled their homes fearing for their lives in wake of violent clashes. Tension is prevailing in Kanth village after BJP workers clashed with police and Samajwadi Party members over removal of a loudspeaker from a temple by the administration decision. The detention of BJP leaders, workers and supporters while on their way to attend a huge religious gathering, 'Mahapanchayat', in Moradabad to protest the decision, led to skirmish with police and the SP workers. A District Magistrate and police officials were injured in stone-pelting by protesters. Police resorted to rounds of firing to control the unruly mob. Police has arrested 62 people for instigating violence to bring the situation under control. Jul 6, 2014

Moradabad, July 05 (ANI): In what turned out to be an ugly result of detention of the BJP leaders marching to attend a _mahapanchayat_ near Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, Moradabad District Magistrate Chandrakant, Senior Superintendent of Police Dharam Veer, Circle Officer Archana and four policemen were injured in heavy stone-throwing by the protesters.
