Kerala to celebrate 'Kiss Day' to protest moral policing

Kochi, Oct 30 (ANI): A group of youngsters will organise a non-violent protest 'Kiss of Love' in Kerala on November 02 to protest against the moral policing and express freedom of love. The campaign was initiated in the wake of an attack on a coffee shop by youth wing activists of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Last week, Congress party owned Jaihind TV had aired a show alleging immoral activities at a cafe called Downtown in Kozhikode city. Within hours, it was attacked by workers of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of BJP. However, the Kerala police have denied the permission to protesters to hold the event in the port of Kochi. Young protesters were then seen holding posters reading 'Stop Moral Policing' to publicise the drive even as the members of local moral policing team were present at the venue trying to scare the youngsters by shouting at them.
