Politicos react to reports of CBI director associated with various scam accused

New Delhi, Sep 03 (ANI): Political leaders on Wednesday reacted to reports of CBI Director Ranjit Sinha being associated with people accused in various scams including 2G, Coalgate and Meat export. NCP leader Majid Memon said that law will take its course in deciding the charges against Sinha. SP leader Gaurav Bhatia said that Sinha had been related to various accused earlier too. JD (U) Chief Sharad Yadav said that his party also received information regarding Sinha’s contacts with crime accused people. CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury said that the case is now in Supreme Court and it will decide what course to take. Sep 3, 2014

Panaji, Aug 31 (ANI): Mridula Sinha on Sunday took oath as governor of Goa and pledged to abide by her duties and to work for the welfare of the people of Goa and that state itself. Bombay High Court Chief Justice Mohit Shah administered the oath of office to Sinha. Her appointment came following he resignation of BV Wanchoo. BJP and RSS supports Najma Heptullah's remark even as others condemn the same

New Delhi/ Lucknow, Aug 29 (ANI): Even as other political leaders and Muslim clerics condemn Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptullah's remark, BJP and RSS came out to support the minister on her remark. Heptullah had said that there is nothing wrong in calling Indian as Hindu on which she stood by and said that she had used the term' Hindi' and not 'Hindu'. BJP's Spokesperson Sambit Patra said that she must have meant cultural unity in her statement. RSS Ideologue Rakesh Sinha said that Heptullah had said the right thing and that 'Hindu' signifies India and is its identity and that every religion should accept the same. Meanwhile, Congress' Manish Tewari and NCP's Tariq Anwar condemned the same claiming that such remarks can divide the 'secular India'.
