Ahemdabad /New Delhi/Mumbai, Feb 23 (ANI): The ruling Congress increased its verbal attacks on BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, as the general elections draw near.The verbal spat between the leaders of opposition and the ruling Congress has gained momentum with the general election due in May, which will decide the country's future prime minister. Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia, said that eminent leaders of the BJP have earlier spoken against Modi, so it makes no difference if the other political party members also do the same. Politicos hail SCs decision to put on hold Rajiv Gandhi killers release

New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): Political leaders on Thursday welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to put on hold Rajiv Gandhi killer’s release. The Apex court has restrained the Tamil Nadu government from releasing three convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. The Tamil Nadu government has been asked to maintain status quo till further orders. The Central Government on Thursday moved to the Supreme Court asking a stay on the Tamil Nadu Government's decision to release all the convicted assassinators of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The government has contended that the Tamil Nadu government cannot release the convicts since their case was investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is a central agency, and hence the state has to consult the centre. Centre has also asked the SC to review its order commuting death sentences of three men to life in prison. Feb 20, 2014
