New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): Political leaders reacted as Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley concluded the General Budget for 2015-16 in the Lok Sabha on Saturday. Kamal Nath said that the budget only gives relaxation to corporate and rich administrations. Ashwani Kumar, Mallikarjun Kharge and PC Chacko said that there was nothing new in the Union Budget worth praising. Chacko also added that the Finance Minister has only included some previous schemes set up by UPA but he should have acknowledged the previous government for that. Feb 28, 2015

Storm kills one, displaces thousands in West Bengal

South Dinajpur, Feb 27 (ANI): A powerful storm flattened thatched houses and uprooted trees and electric poles in several villages in West Bengal. The storm accompanied by heavy rains hit Balurhat block of South Dinajpur. A man named Jatha Tudu, (35), resident of Vatpara village, died while several others got injured. An affected villager, Kamal Hasti, of Jalghar village said that they were inside their houses when the storm hit. Thousands of thatched houses were blown over in the powerful storm rendering more than 5,000 villagers of Jalghar and Vatpara homeless. The local administration has begun rescue operations. Daily necessary items are being distributed in the region. Feb 27, 2015
