At least 125 students fall sick after consuming food in Jharkhand residential school

Dumka, Sep 07 (ANI): At least 125 students fell sick after consuming food in a residential school of Dumka district in Jharkhand. Students of Christ Raja Mission School cooked food themselves to celebrate Teacher's Day and started vomiting soon after consuming it. The children fell sick within minutes of eating the meal and started vomiting and convulsing with stomach cramps. They were taken to a government hospital. Doctor BK Sinha said most of the students were in critical situation. The students are in the age-group of four to thirteen years. Sep 7, 2014

CBI Chief files perjury case against CPIL

New Delhi, Sept 05 (ANI): CBI director Ranjit Sinha, on Friday filed a case of perjury against a non-governmental organisation, Centre for Public Interest Litigation (CPIL), for making false allegations against him. Petitioner Kamini Jaiswal, appearing for CPIL, filed two affidavits against Sinha over interference in the Aircel-Marxis deal, a branch spurting out of the investigation in the 2G spectrum allocation scam and coal block allocations. New Delhi, Sep 05 (ANI): Politicos gave mixed reactions on Friday as CBI Director Ranjit Sinha ruled out his resignation saying that he did nothing wrong. BJP leader Sambit Patra said that the matter is already in the Supreme Court and soon a judgment will be given. NCP leader Majid Memon said that the Court will decide about the allegations on basis of proofs given and added that coming to conclusions would not be correct. SC refuses to restrain media on CBI chief's request

New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Thursday turned down CBI Director Ranjit Sinha's plea to restrain media from reporting on the 2G spectrum allocation case. The apex court said that it will take up application filed by advocate Prashant Bhushan to keep Sinha away from 2G case on September 8. Sinha is accused of holding regular meetings with officials of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group to influence the CBI's investigation. Sep 4, 2014
